There are currently multiple management strategies for COVID-19, including the use of corticosteroids. Preliminary results have found that corticosteroids may lower mortality among severe and critical COVID-19 cases and is recommended for use by those on respiratory support. CADTH has conducted a review to summarize the current clinical evidence on systemic corticosteroids for the management of COVID-19.
